The Poocher

FAQ

I have two dogs and one Poocher has always been enough for me. The Poocher’s internal storage plastic container has a holding capacity of 1.3 Litre. It’s perfect for temporarily holding a sh*tload of pet waste. It also has a wide opening for quick and easy filling and emptying.

Absolutely! The lid contains an integrated seal which totally traps the odour in its plastic prison. It has undergone numerous tests during production, and we have been issued with a Leak-Tightness declaration of compliance.

Simply hand wash it with lukewarm water and dishwashing detergent, then leave it to air dry.

Definitely! When empty, the Poocher weighs just under 290 grams. Just sling it over your shoulder and you’ll forget it’s there.

Degradable bags are often mistaken for biodegradable bags. A degradable bag is a petroleum-based plastic bag that can take up to 1000 years to breakdown and can have devastating effects on wildlife that may consume them. Biodegradable bags are degradable bags, but with an EPI additive to speed up the breakdown process, which reduces the risk of wildlife finding them.

Although dog poo is compostable, there are concerns about composting dog poo – which are generally the smell and the risk of parasites and germs. Parasites and bacteria can live in dog waste which include E. coli and salmonella along with tapeworm, or ringworm. These can live in the soil for years and may harm you, your pets, or wildlife. This was a major factor in our decision to go for biodegradable dog poo bags.
